Job Duties:

Responsible for picking green chile by hand and filling 10-gallon buckets; be able to quality pick no bruising; will pick chile with/without stem. Able to carry bucket to trailer to dump chile and be able to lift 60 lbs. Other duties include clipping onions using shears. Will be on knees and pull onions from grown by hand, clip onions into buckets/baskets to fill 4x4 crates. Must be able to work long hours and work under all types of weather conditions (cold, heat, wind, wet, etc.). Workers should expect occasional periods of little or no work because of weather, crop, or other conditions beyond the employer's control. Piece Rates; bucket of chile with stem $1.00; without stem $1.25; onions $16.00 per crate. “Employer may request but cannot require workers to work on their Sabbath”. Drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free work zone: The use or possession or being under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol during the contract time is prohibited. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Employer will request to conduct drug and alcohol screening tests during the contract period. All expenses will be paid by employer.
