- Job Duties:
- Work may include but not limited to working with tobacco. Use of hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soils and applying fertilizers, transplanting, weeding, apply pesticides under the supervision of a licensed applicator, cleaning, packing, and loading finished products, transplanting, watering, lifting up to 50lbs. Field work includes but not limited to tobacco planting and harvesting. Must be able to climb and hang tobacco, inside tobacco sheds at heights over 20 ft. Work is outside and in adverse weather conditions from cold and hot temperatures. One month experience in work listed required.
