The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Hoeing weeds, staking and trellising plants, baling hay, stacking hay on wagons then placing into barns, five rows high. Harvesting squash, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, sweet corn, cabbage, and winter squash. Workers must be capable of lifting 60 pounds. All tools needed to perform the job will be provided at no cost to the worker. During summer months in Missouri, workers can experience extreme heat and humidity conditions, therefore, ample drinking water will be provided for the hydration of all employees.

Employees will be required to pass a drug test and criminal background check pre-employment. Criminal background checks will be conducted for sexual offenses as we operate a u-pick patch open to the public and for thefts as employees will be using employer provided tools and a fully furnished home to live in. Any unlawful criminal infractions stated above will result in a no hire. Employees will be tested for drugs and alcohol as a positive test will affect their ability to perform tasks in the extreme heat. All positive tests will results in termination from employment. Employees may be randomly drug tested throughout their time of employment at the employers expense. Employees must possess the ability to work outside in extreme heat for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
