IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING WAGES FOR TEMPORARY AGRICULTURAL JOBS
The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Employee must be able to plant, cultivate, weed and harvest a large variety of vegetable, fruit and flower crops. Applicants should have a general knowledge of vegetable production. plant propagation and greenhouse maintenance and propagation. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. May be required to operate
machinery and do various other field work. General farm maintenance, brush clearing and chain saw operation could be required on a regular basis. 2 months experience in the above duties listed is preferred.
