- Job Duties:
- Receive beehives. Prepare beehives for the honey production season. Follow the instructions of experienced Beekeepers, working to ensure high quality hive health. Medicate, treat and feed bees as necessary to maintain healthy colonies. Increase and spilt beehives. Load and unload beehives. Move beehives to and from various honey production jobsites. Monitor all beehives. Harvest, extract and package honey. Prepare beehives to be shipped. Clean and sanitize honey extraction plant. Build and repair bee boxes and other beekeeping equipment. General facility maintenance and upkeep. Winterize all beekeeping facilities and equipment at the end of the honey production season.
