Job Duties:

We need seasonal employees to assist with custom combining these crops. Employees will operate self-propelled custom Class harvesting machines to harvest a variety of grain and oilseed crops. Including wheat, corn, and sorghum. Employees will need to adjust speed of cutters, blowers and conveyors and height of cutting head, using hand tools. Changes cutting head as appropriate for crops; drives heavy truck to transport produce to elevator or storage area. Drives transporter truck to haul harvesting machines between worksites. Services machinery and makes in field repairs. driving pickup to obtain parts and supplies, daily repairs and maintenance to equipment, machinery, and fences. Employees will need to do maintaining of worksite and equipment; also cleaning location and equipment. The nature of farm work may require workers to work after dark and possibly weekends depending on weather conditions. Hours offered may vary based on factors such as weather, crops, or need. Employer may pay workers more depending on how many years of experience they have or other factors such as job performance, skill, punctuality, etc. Employees should have a desire to harvest and ability to work necessary hours to complete the job. Must have the willingness to learn, take instructions and practice safety 100% of the time. Must have an exceptional work ethic, excellent work habits, honesty, responsibility, and dependability with manners always and professional language — no use of profanity around customers, co-workers and others will be allowed. Skills that include patience, tolerance, cooperation, and teamwork are also required. Employer may provide pay increases for performance, longevity and/or experience at employer’s discretion. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

Special Requirements:

Employer will conduct post-hire drug tests at no cost to the employee to enforce a drug free workplace policy. Failing a drug test will result in termination. Employer will conduct post-hire criminal background checks at no cost to the employee and will not employ anyone with a felony/theft criminal background. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Require 2 months experience.
