- Job Duties:
- "Cutters" will cut watermelons, lift and hand it to the "Pitcher". Pitchers will carry the watermelon and hand it off to the "Packer". Packers will take the watermelon and pack it into a bin on the truck in the field. Workers will also weed by hand and long handled hoes as they walk through the fields. some workers might make repairs to irrigation lines. Workers must be able to lift 50 lbs. and will be exposed to repetitive movements, bending and stooping for long periods, extensive walking and extreme temperatures.
