Job Duties:

Employees must be able to comprehend and follow instructions of a company supervisor and communicate effectively to supervisors. Workers must operate all equipment properly and in a manner that protects operator, others, the employer’s products and property. Employees will participate in the ground preparation for the bell pepper greenhouse installation. Employee activities will include, but are not limited to picking up rocks, rake it several times to break up the large clods, shoveling, clear debris from field, leveling, and removing old ground mix and apply fertilizers, incorporate large amounts of organic matter into the soil, and other plant related treatments until the ground is ready for the planting. Employees will also participate in the hauling and spreading of manure to maintain farm soil quality. Employees will also participate in the installation of the greenhouse, move and install irrigation pipes and equipment. Worker will be exposed and not limited to standing, bending, stooping and kneeling for long periods of time. In addition, worker will be exposed but not limited to moderate to loud noises and other outdoor weather conditions, including variable temperatures; wet, humid and heat. Also, work requires repetitive movements, extensive walking, standing, bending and kneeling. And also they will assist in handling product and equipment. Worker will use hand tools and power equipment. The tools/equipment will include but not limited to hoes, shovels, shears, clippers, loppers, saws such as planters, plows, sprayers, cultivators, power shears, chain saws, forklifts, leaf blowers, and cart movers, etc. Employees must be able to lift and carry 75lbs/75yds, and a minimum 3 months of general farm labor experience required.
