- Job Duties:
- Performs duties related to planting, cultivating, and harvesting ginseng, horticultural specialties, and field crops. Use hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives. Duties may include tilling soil and applying fertilizers; transplanting, weeding, thinning, or pruning crops; applying pesticides; cleaning, grading, sorting, packing and loading harvested products. May construct trellises and ginseng shade structures, repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities. Pick weeds, berries, and ginseng. Dig water ways and shovel rock by hand. Equipment: Tractors, post pounder, straw shredders, fork lifts, skid steers Crops: Ginseng

- Special Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Employer requires drug screening post hire at employer's expense per company policy for new hires. Failure to pass drug screen will result in termination of employment. Must be able to work overhead for long periods of time and drive a small tractor. Basic literacy and arithmetic required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
