Job Duties:

Workers will clean and move grains from one bin to another. Grain bins will be cleaned and reloaded. Workers will clean by hand using shovel and brooms to clean and remove molded or contaminated grains. The workers will keep transfer pipes clean and free of any blockage, assist in mixing and screening the grains, work in the bagging department filling bags, move bags by hand to pallets and then to be loaded on to trucks or stores in storage space. Workers will clean filters of debris and foreign matter. Workers will receive the loads of grains and help unload the grains for processing. Workers will load the outgoing trucks with the grains specified including but not limited to corn, wheat, milo, soybeans, and oats. Workers will mix and process grains. Workers will work in all aspects of grain processing. Planting, cultivating, and harvesting duties will also be required. These duties will include, but will not be limited to: attaching farm implements such as plows and discs, performing a variety of mechanical repair and maintenance duties such as lubrication and repairing farm equipment, and schedule plowing, cultivating, and harvesting operations. Workers will plant, cultivate, harvest, and pack vegetables in boxes, buckets, and crates; lay plastic; create setting with hoe and by hand; drive stakes; grade/sort; and perform other activities associated with vegetable production. Assist in set-up production for sale of crops. All tasks involve hand labor. General farm maintenance and other duties are required in the farming operation maintenance. Includes, but not limited to, preparing barns, draining fields, planting, dropping sticks in field, maintenance of tools and equipment and other work as directly related to the crop activities for which the worker is hired.
