- Job Duties:
- The main duties of these workers will be to maintain the health and well being of the cattle herd including monitoring the cattle during both fall and spring calving seasons. Fall calving season is September through November, spring calving is March through May. Their duties would also include performing harvest of hay, raking hay, clearing fence rows, clean/repair farm buildings and fences, moving fences for rotational grazing, or anything to assist with the cattle herd. Must be able to operate some farm equipment such as tractors, post hole diggers, small power tools, and hand tools. In the winter months of January and February, the workers will be feeding and monitoring the health of our cattle herd as well as feeding weaned calves as we background them to sell in the spring or summer. Workers are required to work inside structures and outside in various weather conditions/temperatures depending on the time of year.
