Job Duties:

Job requires the operation of self-propelled custom class harvesting machines and tractors to harvest a variety of grain and foraging crops; adjusting the speed of cutters, blowers, conveyors, and height of cutting heads using hand tools; changing cutting heads as appropriate for crops; performing mechanical repair, maintenance, and regular service of machinery; blowing out radiators when temps rise; driving heavy trucks to transport crops to elevators or storage facilities; and driving trucks to transport harvesting equipment between work locations. Manual labor in the form of pressure washing and tire cutting, moving, and changing while machines are in fields will also be required. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. Pay increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.

Special Requirements:

Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license after 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Time spent taking one written license test and one driving test will be considered paid time. Additional testing, if required, will be the workers' expense. Extensive sitting or walking will be required when operating harvesting equipment for multiple hours per day.
