Job Description

- Job Duties:
- Operate tractor & farm equipment to till, fertilize, level fields & to plant, cultivate, spray & shred crops. Haul grain out of fields to truck with tractor & grain cart. Operate combine to harvest corn, grain, sorghum, soybeans, & rice. Operate cotton picker to harvest cotton. Service, clean, maintain, & repair all types of farm equipment & machinery as needed. Flood irrigate using levees which would need to be maintained & repaired with a shovel. Install & remove plastics in irrigation levees. Scout, pull weeds, & off plants in flooded rice fields & row crop fieIds. Drain water in fields using a shovel. Row irrigate using poly pipe & laterals. Unload & load trucks at grain dryers. Level grain in bins with a grain scoop. Probe & fumigate grain in bins. Clean, repair & perform maintenance on grain bins & grain bin equipment. Fertilize, cut, & bale hay. Fertilize, shred & spray pastures. Mow, maintain, & clean in & around barns & grain bins. Maintain, service, clean & repair vehicles, trucks & trailers used on the farm.
