- Job Duties:
- Job duties include the operation of farm equipment to move Schmidt Bros Hay, LLC's hay and forage products into the hay yards for processing. Employees will transport the Schmidt's hay and forage. Duties also include operating processors, mergers, and balers to produce product specific to the target market. Other equipment that they will operate includes pay loaders, front end loaders, tractors, bale processor, balers, mergers, rakes, semi trucks, trailers, and welder. Employees will perform manual labor such as scooping snow from the work area, spreading hay and straw, sweeping work areas, throwing straps, greasing equipment, rolling up tarps, and pulling net wrap or plastic from bales. Must be able to perform mechanical repair and maintenance on farm equipment, have 3 months of experience, the ability to obtain a drivers license within 30 days, and the basic English literacy, reading, and math skills. Increase or bonus may be possible depending on experience and merit.
