Job Duties:
Plant sugar cane, cut sugar cane, plant vegetables and harvest vegetables. Workers will be required to insert the plant to the proper depth in the plant hole, ensure the correct amount of dirt is covering the root ball and pack dirt around the base of the plant. Cutting sugar cane into continuous two-stalk plant, chopped into 32-36 lengths. Walks, stoops, crawls, or sits between plant rows to reach harvestable crop; Pulls, twists, or cuts fibers, leaves, stalks, straw, or vines, selected according to color, size, and shape, from bolls, roots, stalks, or trellises; by hand or using knife, machete, or sickle; Collects crop into containers, such as bags, boxes, and bundles, or piles and stacks crop in windrows; Picks up and carries bundles, bales, containers, or stacks of harvested crop to collection point, and loads crop onto truck or wagon, by hand or using hoist or hooks; May tie leaves, stalks, straws, or vines into bundles, using twine, clamps, or rubber bands; May shake dirt from vines and stack vines or straw around stakes or stalks, by hand or using pitchfork, to protect crop from weathering on damp soil; May gather up and load scattered leaves, vines, or pods on truck; May burn debris, leaves, and stalks. Workers will be required to insert the plant to the proper depth in the plant hole, ensure the correct amount of dirt is covering the root ball and pack dirt around the base of the plant. Walks, stoops, crawls, or sits between plant rows to reach planting area. During field operations workers may be required to drive motorized farm equipment, or a tractor pulling a wagon through the field or between fields incidental to the jobs being performed. Workers will be instructed in the safety and operation of the tractor before driving. All tractor driving will be done in the field during the harvest. Lay Plastic - Use a shovel to remove dirt, then cut and shape trenches for drainage. Use shovel to tuck and form fit plastic in the trenches. Field Care - Tying plants, planting plants, pruning plants, cleaning drippers and Micro jets, removing plastic drip lines, removing dead plants, and removing debris. Workers will walk along rows specified by the employer and will remove grass and weeds from the fields using their hands or with a hoe. Workers will be standing, crouching, bending and reaching for an extended period. The work is outdoors and will continue in all kinds of weather. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Drug testing and background checks may occur during the interview process and will be conducted at the sole cost and discretion of the employer. Must be able to lift 70lbs. to shoulder height repetitively throughout the workday and able to lift and carry 70lbs. in field. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination.

TRAINING: The employer will allow one (1) week of work for worker to reach production standards. PRODUCTION STANDARDS: After completion of training or break-in period, employer will expect each group to meet the following production standards Cucumbers, 17 bushels/hr. Bell Peppers, 17 bushels/hr. Harvest Squash, 7 bushels/hr. Plant Squash, 2 acres/hr. Plant Peppers, 1 acre/hr. Cabbage, 17 bushels/hr. Corn, 47 bushels/hr. Bok Choi, 17 bushels/hr. Beans, 2 bushels/hr. Jalapenos, 4 bushels/hr.
