Job Duties:

Assist the Ginner at gin stands and lint cleaners as directed; Assist to clear choke-ups in various machines/piping as directed; Willing to work at heights on catwalks, ladders, and manlifts; Use basic hand tools such as brooms, shovels, screwdrivers, hammers, etc; Remove classing samples from cotton bales and bag as required; Operate cotton bale press as directed; Assist and direct module truck driver to unload modules onto feeder; Operate module feeder and plastic unwrapper machine; Remove plastic from unwrapper machine and prepare plastic for recycling; Operate plastic wrap baling machine; Remove, roll, stack, and load tarpaulins for conventional modules; Load cottonseed trucks from overhead seedhouses; Repair damaged modules / gather loose cotton on module yard; Perform general clean-up in and around the gin and housing; Attend safety meetings and report unsafe work conditions; Wear safety gear such as reflective vests, ear/eye protection as provided by employer; Perform all duties in a safe and workmanlike manner; Drive vehicle; Use forklift, wheelbarrow, and skidloader.
