Job Duties:

Plant, grow and install a variety of oak trees, crepe myrtles, and cacti and other landscape materials such as shrubs, annual and perennial plants, grasses, groundcovers and bulbs. Install drip irrigation for plant stock; use landscaping and construction tools to perform light construction building tree boxes and installing posts and attaching ties from planted trees to support stakes; dig holes with shovels or trowels and install plant material; prune and trim trees, shrubs and hedges; wrap trees, water plant material using hoses or buckets; pull weeds by hand, haul and spread soil, fertilizer and pesticides; mow and edge fields and lawns; operate equipment to load pallets of packed product on to trucks as directed and trained by supervisory personnel; operate utility vehicle to transport landscape products and materials around the nursery yard. Applicant must be able to work outdoors and carry loads up to 50 lbs. consistently on a daily basis. Position requires extensive pushing, pulling, walking and stooping and exposure to extreme temperatures. No education or experience required. Employer will provide on the job training. Drug testing may be conducted on first day of employment, or at random times during period of employment, at no cost to worker. Testing positive or failure to comply will result in immediate termination of employment.
