Job Duties:
Peanuts field workers: Operate agricultural equipment to harvest peanuts, including trucks, forklifts, spotter trucks (a/k/a "yard dogs"), and semis; check moisture content of peanuts; operate peanut dryers to pull down moisture content when necessary; move peanuts to grade; put peanuts onto dump; make repairs and maintain peanut harvesting equipment and machinery. Corn and Cotton field workers: Workers will harvest cotton and corn utilizing combines and semi-trucks; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite. Truck Drivers: Haul raw crops produced by Shann Peanut to peanut mill for processing by driving semi truck and trailer combination from farm over the road to peanut mill in safe and efficient manner. Routinely inspect equipment to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order at all times. Inspect load prior to departing farm to ensure safe operation. Work is to be done for long periods of time in the field, when plants may be wet with dew and rain, and may be required during light rain, snow, moderate winds, direct sun, high humidity and extreme temperatures. Allergies to ragweed, goldenrod, insect spray, related chemicals, etc. may affect workers ability to perform the job. Workers must be able to perform the required work with or without reasonable accommodations. The work described in this Clearance Order is regular, seasonal full-time work requiring all workers to be available for work on a daily basis, throughout the stated contract period. Employees may experience a temporary reduction in work and/or a temporary work stoppage due to the natural agricultural cycle. All workers are subject to a five-day trial period, during which their performance will be evaluated. Employer reserves the right to terminate a worker at the end of the trial period if their performance fails to satisfy the employer's reasonable expectations, or is otherwise unacceptable. Employer also retains the right to terminate workers for lawful job-related reasons, including but not limited to workers who: are regularly absent or tardy; maligners or otherwise refuses to work in accordance with direction or is otherwise obviously unqualified to perform the job; is physically able but does not demonstrate the willingness to perform the work necessary. Non-U.S. workers may be terminated if one or more U.S. workers becomes available for the job during the employer's recruitment period. Job abandonment will be deemed to occur after five consecutive workdays of unexcused absences. All terms and conditions of employment will be applied equally to domestic and foreign workers employed in the occupation described within this contract. Foreign workers will be advised of their responsibility to depart the U.S. when employment comes to an end.

Special Requirements:
Employees must have three months verifiable agricultural experience. To drive a tractor/trailer, employees must possess valid CDL for truck driving in the State of Georgia. The employer will be responsible for the cost of obtaining CDL (if any). All employees (H-2A as well as corresponding domestic workers), will be given the opportunity to obtain a CDL on a voluntary basis. The CDL is not a pre-hire job requirement. No job applicant will be denied an employment opportunity due to a lack of a CDL at the time of application and/or hiring. Further, no worker (H-2A or corresponding domestic worker) will be terminated for failure to obtain a CDL.
