- Job Duties:
- December to April: break ice in water troughs so cattle can drink, operate tank heaters; bed cattle under shades, provide hay as bedding for cattle to lay on, replace bedding as necessary to avoid contamination and disease, construct shelters to protect cattle from winter elements such as sleet, snow, ice, freezing temperatures; remove snow and ice from livestock facilities, construct wind blocks; administer medication to livestock to strengthen immune system during extreme weather.
