Job Duties:
The pre-season maintenance tasks will be done to machinery during the months when farming duties have halted and the machinery is not in use. List of equipment: (2) cp 690 cotton pickers. (2) 9980 peanut combines. (2) liquid fert applicators. (2) bed conditioners. (3) peanut planters. (2) cotton planters. (5) water trailers. (6) tractors. (2) peanut diggers. All the machines and equipment will go through a thorough inspection, service, and repair process. Each machine will have a manufacturer's annual maintenance procedure that needs to be followed to ensure proper operation of the equipment during the work season. This seasonal post-harvest work process will include the disassembly and reassembly of major components for replacement of bearings, lubricants, filters, parts, worn components, surfacing and welding of cracks. Cleaning of each machine must be done prior to any maintenance work. The work will include heavy lifting of machine parts and holding them in place during reassembly. The worker must be able to handle complex tasks that require logical thought, care, paying attention to details. Drive to town to pickup mechanical parts.

Special Requirements:
Minimum of 12 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers expense due to the liability of driving on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Must have 12 months experience or 12 months on the job training. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
