- Job Duties:
- Duties may include: Prepare grounds for planting using a variety of hand and power tools, maintain crops in the form of: planting, fertilizing, harvesting, spraying, and weeding strawberries. Checking fields to determine picking activities, inspecting crops for infestation, identifying ripe berries, leaving unripe ones on the plant. Carefully picking and placing berries into clam shell in a flat to be covered once the flat is full. Moving to designated checking areas. Isolating and identifying damaged strawberries. Carefully picking and placing squash in a flat to be covered once the flat is full. Moving to designated checking areas. Isolating and identifying damaged squash. Maintaining farmland and worksites and other related farm worker activities as per SOC/OES 45-2092. Tools, supplies and equipment provided at no cost to worker. Employer guarantees 3/4 of contract. Work outdoors, exposed to weather, hot or cold; hours may vary (+/-); possible downtimes and/or extended hours. Dependable: fulfill obligation. Attn. to detail: complete work tasks. Employer provided housing available to those who cannot reasonably return to their residence within the same day. No cell phone use during work hours. Cash advances may apply at employer discretion

- Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
