- Job Duties:
- We are a small family operated 600-acre row crop (corn, milo) and 800-acre rice farm. We also have a 20-acre turf grass farm. We have semi-trucks and hopper bottom trailers that we haul our grain to the dryers. We need a seasonal employee to operate farm machinery such as tractors, combines, auger carts, plows, disks, land planes, backhoe, mowers, and shredders. Employee will need to move equipment by hauling and loading on trailers and operate semi-trucks and trailer combinations. Must be able to operate tractors and farm equipment. Employee will need to assist with watering and irrigating corn and rice fields which includes working with poly pipe, walk levees, adjust water gates, shovel wash outs, repair and maintain irrigation equipment, change oil, grease, change tires, change filters, pressure wash, sand and paint as needed. Employee will be required to do farmyard maintenance including mow, spray weeds, weed eat, trim trees, paint, and fence building/repair. Will need to mow and water turf grass. Employee will need mechanical experience to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment. Employer may provide performance bonuses at the end of the contract at the employer’s discretion.

- Job requires extensive walking, pushing, pulling, sitting, and exposure to extreme outdoor temperatures. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Job requires a regular drivers license and employee must be able to obtain a CDL or equivalent within 30 days of hire. Require 3 months experience.
