- Duties to include calving cows and heifers; feeding cattle; collect data on newborn calves; track feed usage; breaking ice in water tanks approx February - March; artificially inseminate heifers; monitor calf health; assisting with calving mother cows and heifers; monitor calf health daily; process calves approx April; artificially inseminate cows; sort cows and heifers to be moved to grass; sorting and loading livestock; sort calves to be taken to market and sold approx May; driving farm pickup; minor daily and incidental upkeep to equipment and worksite.
