- Job Duties:
- Job requires tending to livestock in the forms of feeding, watering, bathing, leading, grooming, and prepping for sale. Job also requires operating trucks, tractors with various implements including manure spreaders, mowers, ATVs, and UTVs. Job duties include cleaning stalls by hand with pitchfork and rake; transporting manure to manure spreaders; feeding horses with grain and hay using wheel barrows, ATVs, etc.; watering horses; bathing, leading, grooming, and sale prepping horses; breaking and mannering young horses; assisting with foaling mares to deliver baby foals; removing snow from required work areas; mowing, performing weed control, and performing grounds maintenance; performing daily cleaning tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping barn aisles; weaning horses; working with young foals and handling them to tie, lead, and barn manners; performing general maintenance, repairs and/or clean-up of storage sheds, buildings, fences, gates, barns and all farm equipment; ensuring operational areas are organized and well maintained; using hand tools and equipment to repair, clean and maintain farm vehicles, machinery and specialized machinery and agricultural equipment; and regularly servicing equipment. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.
