- Job Duties:
- Plants, cultivates, and maintains in condition for shipping and resale to customers shrubs, trees, and plants. Pots, seedlings, prunes, transplants, spaces, irrigates, waters, and culls plants to ensure availability of marketable products. Packs, labels, pulls, and stores plants according to variety. Weeds, mows, loads/unloads trucks and wagons. May operate tractors and other mechanical equipment under supervision. Performs any other duties involved in the maintenance of plant materials and nursery stock maintenance. Lifting required up to 40 lbs. Drug screen to be conducted post-hire, paid for by employer. Work schedule includes a 30 minute lunch. Base hours offered is 42.5 hours offered; additional hours are usually offered and may include 8-10 additional hours of work depending on workload, customer demand, and the nature of the season.
