Job Duties:

JOB # l Tree is harvested from the ground with a tractor Roots are pruned, shaped and trimmed with a shovel Rootball is wrapped in plastic wrap Trees is laid down so the trunk and fans can be trimmed with loppers and shovel Tree is placed on rack where it will be watered, fertilized and cultivated until ready for harvest OR Holes are dug Tree is planted where it will be watered, fertilized, cultivated and grown until ready for harvesting . JOB # 2 Trees need to be watered daily JOB#3 The entire farm must be weeded JOB#4 Fertilizer must be applied to the trees NEW JOB DUTIES load/unload trees Measure trees, tag with size Sort trees by size Monitor growth of trees Place trees in wire/burlap baskets for root enhancement We need to move up from May to February to meet the work load demand and get optimum tree growth. We have added 4 tree racks and 3 wells. We need to start earlier in the year to take full advantage of the growth cycle of the trees. This will take more people and more time. For these reasons I would like to move from 16 to 30 people and from May to February.
