Job Duties:

Performs any of the following tasks to attend to livestock: Move cattle from filed to field for winter grazing. Vaccinating and pregnancy checking cows. Feed cows. Feed feeder calves and yearling bull calves. Maintaining feed equipment. Maintain pens. Check feeders for sickness. Build temporary fences around corn fields for grazing. Clean and prep calving barns and facilities. Fence repair for spring turn out. Vaccinating and branding newborns in February, March and April. Heat check and breeding cows in the spring. Cattle return to summer pasture mid-May. Drive to town to pick up cattle supplies.

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 1 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience.
