Job Duties:

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Drive and operate self-propelled combine. knowledge and previous experience on a self-propelled sprayer are a plus, General lubrication, service and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Help to load and unload bins including climbing and sweeping tanks. General irrigation, service power units, turbines, pivots, etc., lay and pick up poly pipe. Crops: Corn, Rice, Soybeans, Wheat Equipment: JOHN DEERE: s680 combines, 4030r sprayer, 8320r, 8320rt track tractor, 9420r tractor, 10 speed commercial trucks, 42' hopper trailers, 42' air drills, 18 row planter and hipper, 40' disk, Kelley diamond harrows, Rome levee plows, 48' field cultivators, dirt pans, most of our tractors have GPS guidance, some Case or Challenger tractors, Speed disks, case backhoes, excavator, and bulldozer

Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers' expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive pushing and pulling is required. Extensive sitting is required. Extensive walking is required. Frequent stooping is required. Repetitive movements are required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
