Job Duties:

Job requires operating a variety of farm equipment including, but not limited to, tractors with various implements, sprayers, combines and semi-trucks to till soil; prepare and work soil; and plant, irrigate, spray, fertilize, cultivate, harvest and transport crops to elevator or storage area. Job will also require lifting bags of seeds to load planters; mixing chemicals for sprayers and loading chemicals into sprayers; operating and maintaining irrigation equipment including irrigation pipe, well motors, and irrigation ditches; installing and removing irrigation pipe from fields; using hand tools in fields to maintain proper conditions for crop growth by removing weeds, trash, and other items from fields; performing repair and maintenance on field and farm equipment as required; regularly cleaning and servicing equipment. Workers will work in and around grain bin facility by operating grain conveying equipment to load and unload grain from bins, shoveling grain, sweeping grain, and leveling grain within bins. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Special Requirements:

Job requires having or being able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Job will require workers performing duties outdoors during periods when temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Job will require workers to push, pull, sit, walk, or perform repetitive movements for extended periods.
