Job Duties:

Performs duties like: drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest and store grain crops. Fence and repair fence. Cut and bale hay. Picking up rocks in the fields with a tractor & rock picker. Dig/remove rocks with a backhoe in fields. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil, plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Fill nurse tanks of anhydrous ammonia on the farm and apply nutrient to field. Drive and operate self-propelled combine and sprayer. General lubrication, service (check fluids) and mechanical repair to farm machinery. Drive semi-trucks and trailer to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Equipment: Tractors, Drill, Planter, Drag, Disk, Combine, Augers, Bobcat, Payloader, Hay Conditioner, Baler, Crop Sprayer, Backhoe, Mower, Fertilizer Spreader Truck, Tandem Axle Trucks, Semi-Trucks and Trailers. Special Requirements:

Minimum of 3 months of experience is required. Must be able to obtain a driver's license within 30 days of hire. Employer requires drug screen post-hire at employers' expense due to the liability of driving trucks on public roads. Employer requires criminal background check post-hire at employers' expense due to the presence of children on the farm and expensive tools and equipment. Failure to pass drug screen and/or criminal background check will result in termination of employment. Lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds. The worker will be exposed to extreme temperatures. Extensive sitting is required. Wage rate may increase with verifiable experience. Employer may reward exceptional work with monetary or other benefits in addition to those listed here in his sole discretion.
