Job Duties:
Perform duties like, drive, operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, harvest, irrigate, and store grain crops such as Soybean, Corn, and Wheat. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc and drill to tractor. Till soil: plant and cultivate grain. Tow harvesting equipment. Attach farm implements, such as plow, disc, sprayer and drill to tractor. Till soil to plant and cultivate grain crops and corn. Drive and operate tractors for discing, hipping, planting, cultivating, spraying, and harvesting. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area, on farm and drive semis delivering grain to the local mills and grain terminals, off the farm. Workers will be responsible for doing repairs on machinery and operating of grain bin facilities. Workers will do pre-harvest grain bin maintenance. Duties will be to inspect inside of bin. Checking for birds’ nests, cracked belts, rough sounds in the motor, and any divots in the track. Inspect outside of bins, making sure the door is sealing properly with no visible gaps. Inspect ladders and steps for loose bolts, broken ladder rungs, and clear them of all obstructions. Workers will also inspect fan and heater. Workers will examine and listen to machines, motors, gasoline and diesel engines, and equipment for operational defects. Workers will dismantle defective units, repair or replace, using hand/shop tools. Workers will replace components, such as carburetors, fuel pumps, generators, ignitions points, and spark plugs. Reassembles, adjusts, and lubricates machines and equipment to ensure efficient operation. May install, repair, and wiring of motors to maintain electrical system. Workers may be asked to do carpentry work using supplied hand/work owner tools. ATV side by side, bulldozer, plasma, cutter, drill, lathe, air seeder, twin row planter, single row planter, 3 pt. drill, field cultivators, Kelley tool, land plain, dirt buggy, dike plow, roller, mower, 3 pt. blade, grain cart, roll a cone, chisel plow, multi grater, welder, torch, misc. hand tools. Workers will perform a variety of duties such as lubricating, repairing, and maintaining farm machinery when necessary. May drive workers to/from work locations and to grocery store. OFLC Administrator publishes new AEWR rates yearly and we reserve the right to adjust our job order to the new published rate with the exception of decreases. Raises and bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker, at the employer’s discretion, based on individual factors including but not limited to, performance, experience, number of hours worked in the season, number of seasons worked with the company, adherence to work rules and ability to follow supervisor’s instructions.

Applicants must be 18 years or older per liability insurance requirements. Employer may conduct background checks on all new applicants for employment at employers expense. Three (3) months experience as an agricultural equipment operator and planting, irrigating, cultivating and harvesting grain crops and corn. A valid Drivers' License required to transport workers to fields and grocery store. Workers should come prepared wearing appropriate clothing and footwear for the environmental and working conditions described. Cell phone can only be used during breaks, emergencies, and communicated with supervisor when needed. Worker must be able to lift 75 100 lbs. All tools, supplies and equipment will be provided at no cost to the workers. Workers must not have any physical limitations that would prevent them from performing duties of job, with or without reasonable accommodation. Workers may stand in one place for long periods of time and must be able to climb, stand, sit, stoop,
