The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Job duties include preparing the farm equipment for the upcoming season, operating various farm equipment to till land, plant, fertilize, pick rocks, spray, harvest, and transport crops to the storage area. Equipment that employees will operate includes but is not limited to tractors, tractors with various implements attached, pickup trucks, tilling equipment, fertilizer, rock picking equipment, sprayer, combines, bulldozers, excavators, and semi trucks. Duties include welding, carpentry duties around the farmstead, upkeep of farm housing and shop site, mechanical repairs, maintenance and servicing of equipment and around the farmstead as needed, storing grain in bins, and delivering grain to the dryer and bin sites. There are few typical days and workers may be required to change duties and/or locations often and engage in various general functions. Daily duties may vary depending on crop, weather, and field conditions. The employer reserves the right to increase workers' pay or provide bonuses based on tenure, performance, or other factors that are solely based on the discretion of the employer.

Job requires having or being able to obtain a drivers license within 30 days of hire. Basic English literacy and math skills are required. Employees will be lifting seed bags, chemical jugs, water hoses and pumps. Job will require periods when workers may be exposed to varying weather conditions and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, or walking.
