IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING WAGES FOR TEMPORARY AGRICULTURAL JOBS

The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Drive and operate farm machinery to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest grain crops. Attach Farm implements such as plow, seeder, rock picker to tractor. General lubrication, service, assembly, and repairs to farm machinery. Drive grain trucks to transport crops to elevator or storage area. Other miscellaneous and manual duties assigned. Crops include but not limited to: Barley, wheat, soybeans, corn, edible beans, peanuts, cotton.
