- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by the supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. Must be able to drive, operate, attach or use the following farming equipment and tools to till soil, plant, cultivate and harvest row crops: corn, beans and soybeans: Combines, Tractors, Forklift, Tele handler, Backhoe, Track hoe, Crane, Lift Truck, Fuel Truck, 1 Ton Truck, 2 Ton Bob Truck, Pickup Truck, Bulldozer, Cutter, Lathe, Disc, Chisel Plow, Air Seeder, 3 pt. Drill, DMI Field Cultivators, Kelley Tools, Dirt Buggy, Roller, Mower, 3 pt. Blade, Brent Grain Carts, Roll-A-Cone, Multi Grater, Welder, Torch, Sprayers, Planters, Skid Steers, Pivots, Power Units, Trimble Guidance Systems and JD Auto Trak Systems. Workers may buy, sell, and repair farm equipment. Workers will be required to perform routine maintenance and repairs. Workers will exam and listen to machines, motors, gasoline/diesel engines and equipment for operational defects. Workers will dismantle, repair, or replace defective units/parts, using hand tools and shop tools. Workers will replace components, such as carburetors, fuel pumps, generators, ignitions points, and spark plugs. Reassemble, adjust, and lubricate machines and equipment to ensure efficient operation. May install, repair, and wire motors to maintain electrical systems. May drive workers to grocery store at least once a week. OFLC Administrator publishes new AEWR rates yearly and we reserve the right to adjust our job order to the new published rate with the exception of decreases. Raises and bonuses may be offered to any seasonal worker, at the employer’s discretion, based on individual factors including but not limited to, performance, experience, number of hours worked in the season, number of seasons worked with the company, adherence to work rules and ability to follow supervisor’s instructions.
