Job Duties:

Workers will fill greenhouse containers with soil, plant, transplant, and trim greenhouse crops, stick cuttings, irrigate, fertilize, and apply pesticide to greenhouse crops, prepare greenhouse crops for sale and the field, and move crops as necessary. Prune and thin perennial fruit crops outdoors. Plant fruit trees, vines, bushes, and plants, transplant and seed vegetables, herbs, and ornamental crops. Install, move, maintain, and repair irrigation, fruit trellis, and fruit netting. Prepare fields, install and remove plastic mulch and drip tape, irrigate, fertilize, cultivate, harvest, field grade and bunch crops. Perform cultural work including, but not limited to, staking tying, trellising, pruning, thinning, and weeding, and maintaining crops. Mix and apply pesticides. Load and unload wagons and trucks. Prepare, sort, wash, and pack crops and products for sale. Deliver product to market and set up market. Palletize and stack trays, bins, boxes, and other containers. Operate various farm machinery including, but not limited to, trucks, tractors, wagons, forklifts, tillage equipment, various types of planting, harvesting, and cultivating equipment, sprayers, backhoe, bulldozer, loader, excavator, mower, and washing and packing line. Perform routine vehicle, tractor, and equipment maintenance and repairs. Perform building, greenhouse, fence, and grounds maintenance, repairs, cleaning & sanitation. Clean and maintain packing and cold storage areas.

Special Requirements:

1 month experience in pruning, training and harvesting small fruit, tree fruit, and vegetables. Monday-Sunday, weekend work required, start/end times will vary. Days of week worked will vary based on workload. Schedule varies; approximate hours: Sun-Wed: 7AM-4PM, Thurs: 7AM-5PM, Friday: 7AM-6PM, Sat: 7AM-5PM. Random drug testing during employment. All drug testing is performed without regard to an employees citizenship or immigration status, and all testing is paid for by the company. 2 hour training in Food Safety, 2 hour training in Pesticide Safety, 4 hour training in Forklift and 4 hour training in Tractor Safety.
