- Job Duties:
- Workers will plant, weed, fertilize and harvest and load the pumpkin crop; windrow and bale hay, rototill and cut stems in the pumpkin patch; prune, remove and chop timber from trees on the farm; and maintain, repair and improve farm equipment and real estate. Workers may deliver pumpkins grown on the farm to farm guests, and may package, load, and transport to vendors produce grown on the farm. Workers will feed and tend the farm animals, and clean their stalls. Because of weather and other factors, the hours stated are approximate, and substantial overtime may be offered or required.

- Criminal background checks will be done prior to hire and at employer's expense. Because all employees will be housed together in the same building on the farm premises, it is not practical to have a system to prevent criminal acts during off-duty hours against other employees or farm property prior to the fact. For purposes of this section, ex-offenders are persons who have plead guilty or have been convicted of crimes involving violence, sexual abuse, trafficking in controlled substances, and vandalism or theft related offenses if and only if the crime involved was punishable by imprisonment for one year or more. Other types of crimes, such as traffic offenses (including operating while intoxicated), simple possession of controlled substances, perjury and tax evasion, will not disqualify a worker in any event. Employer will on request provide USDOL with any further proof required to establish that the criminal background check is necessary. (Cont. on Addendum C).
