The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Workers will plant, cultivate, weed and harvest vegetables by hand working in fields and greenhouses. Worker will also pack vegetables in the field into boxes for distribution. Weeds will be thinned by hand, transplants will be planted by hand, and workers will pick, pull and cut vegetables to harvest them. Worker will also drive tractors pulling harvesting wagons. Must have three months verifiable experience and be able to lift 50 lbs. Crops are Squash Varieties, pickles, cucumbers, peppers, and cabbage. Workers will spend long hours in a stooping position.
