The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
Workers will measure and complete layout of livestock and/or poultry confinements by performing tasks such as pouring, laying, and smoothing concrete. Worker duties will include tying rebar, positioning aluminum wall forms, and placing concrete along with framing and installing metal roofing. Workers will unload materials and lay out metal, steel, tin sheets, trusses, and other components for building livestock and/or poultry confinement structures. These tasks will be performed using tools such as hammers, tape measures, utility knifes, nail and screw guns, and levels. Must be willing to work at heights up to 25 feet off the ground.
