- Job Duties:
- Workers will perform assigned duties as instructed by their supervisor. Duties may vary from time to time. If operating a company vehicle during the period of employment the driver must possess a valid CDL Class B issued by the United States or foreign equivalent license to operate the company vehicle in accordance with license restrictions and vehicle classification applicable to that license. Following the Supervisors instructions, the worker will perform the following task. Sweet Potatoes: Workers will transplant, pull weeds, and harvest sweet potatoes in the fields indicated. Transplanting sweet potatoes plants into the soil by hand and machine. Pulling weeds by hand in sweet potatoes fields. The worker will pick the potatoes up by hand into buckets. These buckets will be carries to a truck in the fields with empty bin boxes. Tobacco Planting: Transplanting tobacco plants into the ground by hand. Suckering and Topping tobacco by hand. Worker will remove the tobacco plant from trays by hand and drop it in the ground. Remove weed by hand from the tobacco fields along with any suckers that might be growing in the plant.
