Job Duties:

This job consists of Irrigation and Trellis Repair duties: Performs varied semi-skilled and skilled maintenance duties in the maintenance, repair, and construction of irrigation systems; areas of responsibility, include, but are not limited to, installation, operation, maintenance, and inspection of irrigation systems. Inspects tools and equipment for safety and mechanical defects and ensures that they are in proper operating condition. Operate tools and equipment safely. Perform heavy manual labor for extended periods in all types of weather. Troubleshoot maintenance problems and determine materials and supplies required for repair Irrigation: Job consists of removing, installing, repairing and flushing drip irrigation systems as instructed. Trellis Repair: Job consists of repairing and installing wires and poles on trellis structure. Tractor: Driving a small tractor in the hop field with a implement or sprayer attached to perform groundwork and spray chemicals. Transport Driver: Operate Bus to transport workers and operate equipment to transport supplies/equipment. Equipment Maintenance Support: Provide support on the hop farm equipment for maintenance issues. Facility Maintenance & Repair: Provide support on the hop harvest facilities for maintenance issues Please see Addendum C: A.8A Job Duties

Special Requirements:

2) Worker must possess 3 months of agricultural experience. 4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 50lbs.Limit weight lifted to no more than 50 pounds. When lifting heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load. 4f) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 4g) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools. 4h) May require worker to sit and/or walk for extensive periods of time. 4i) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding and irrigation. 4j) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties.
