In the Spring of the year, all of our combined livestock and ranch activities accelerate, and the increased workload remains steady throughout the entire livestock production and growing season, up to and through mid-November when cattle are shipped and farm equipment is cleaned and stored for the winter. The job entails working around farm machinery and a variety of farm animals as well as exposure to predators and poisonous snakes. The worker must be willing and able to occasionally work independently or in small groups of workers. Most duties are performed out of doors, and entail exposure to extreme heat, cold, dust, rain and other environmental conditions. Worker must be able to crouch, bend, lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
