Job Duties:

GENERAL FARM LABOR: Worker will be required to complete the following activities as directed by supervisor: hoe or pull weeds; stake tomatoes and specialty variety peppers; apply tying twine between tomato and or pepper stakes; sprout young shoots on the tomato plant; remove stakes from ground; cut, pick up string and deposit into approved bulk boxes or containers; lay plastic; tunnel assembly and disassembly; pin tunnel plastic; conduct plastic mulch clean-up; hook up and repair irrigation; general repairs, clean and sanitize harvest buckets, bags, bins, and equipment; conduct pruning activities; conduct various farm and field clean up tasks such as raking brush, picking up rocks and roots and mowing grass on farm property; routine general repairs and maintenance of farm equipment and irrigation; operate trucks, tractors or other agricultural equipment such as forklifts on farm premises only; spray crops with tractor and spray attachment on farm premises only; hand harvest to quality standards zucchinis, cucumbers, pickles, winter squash, yellow summer squash, specialty peppers, serrano peppers, tomatillos, roma tomatoes, and apples; packing activities of Employer's produce only according to specifications; and apple general labor, including thinning, removing suckers or unwanted growths, trunk painting, planting trees, tying limbs and trees, and other general orchard maintenance and clean-up.

Special Requirements:

Job requires worker to complete tasks in General Farm Labor for Zucchini, Cucumber, Pickles, Winter Squash, Yellow Summer Squash, Specialty Peppers, Serrano Pepper, Tomatillo, Round Tomato, Roma Tomato, and Apples Employer will provide instructions and training on specific job duties. Experience Requirement: 3 verifiable months commercial tree fruit and/or vegetable hand harvest experience required. Applicants must furnish job references from employers of the last 3 years establishing acceptable prior experience Drug testing not utilized as pre-employment tool and is done at employer's expense.
