- Job Duties:
- Workers will be required to hand plant sugarcane by pulling the cane from a cane trailer and planting in rows or by following an automatic planter and straightening the sugarcane in the rows and on the ends of the rows. General farm labor duties including but not limited to: minor repair and maintenance to farm equipment and vehicles, field sanitation duties shovel & drainage work, and any other general farm labor duties that may arise on a sugarcane farm. Drug tests may be administered post-hire at no cost to the workers to ensure worker safety and keep in compliance with workers compensation guidelines. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination. Workers must be physically able to perform all duties described. Workers must follow all work and safety rules.
