Job Duties:

1. Type of Crop : Strawberry and Raspberry Plants. Position Description: “Field Support Worker” Work Description: Employees will be working in outside strawberry and raspberry, nurseries. They may be tasked to work on and/or operate any of the following field equipment: Tractor, Field Planter, Row Tunnel Machine, Field Forklift, Bin Carrier, and Plant Harvester. This work will require extended periods of equipment operation, attention to detail and a high level of responsibility to accomplish the mission. The personal equipment required, if any, to perform these duties may vary based on the equipment being operated. If any is required, it will be provided by the employer. 2. Type of Crop: Strawberry Plants Position Description: “Strawberry Plant Processing System Plant Handler” Work Description: Employees will be working on the packaging end of a strawberry plant processing system. Their duties will be focused on selecting bare root strawberry plants off a plant delivery conveyor and orienting them onto a trimming conveyor, with the plant crown and stems placed facing the appropriate direction and in the exact spot on the conveyor, while the roots re facing the opposite direction. This will allow the processing system to complete a final cut (or trimming) to the plants and deliver the plants appropriately oriented to the packaging shoot. For each plant that a worker correctly performs this function it will be considered a plant that is correctly “manipulated”. This demanding work will require focused, disciplined, and repetitive eye / hand coordination and physical activity. All work is done at standing workstations. The equipment required to perform these duties consist of safety disposable nitrile gloves that will be supplied by the employer. *See Job Duties 1.2

2) Worker must possess 3 months of Nursery Experience in Strawberry, and Raspberries 4e) Must be able to lift and/or load 60lbs. 4g) Work may take place when temperatures are below freezing and above 100 degrees Fahrenheit. 4h) May require extensive pulling and/or pushing of tools, wheelbarrows, fruit containers, etc. 4i) May require worker to sit and/or walk intermittent periods of time while sorting, picking, examining,, weeding transporting, pruning, etc. 4j) Workers will be required to stoop and/or bend over while performing farm labor such as weeding, irrigating, pruning, picking, removing debris, etc. 4k) There will be repetitive movements while performing most of the farm labor duties, for example picking, sorting, pruning, shoveling, weeding etc.
