- Job Duties:
- Forklift Drivers and Light Truck Drivers are required to live in the housing provided by employer. The specific tasks for the forklift operator & light passenger truck driver according to O*NET-SOC Description, are as follows: • Load & unload harvested crops or containers of materials using forklifts • Operating vehicles or equipment - running, maneuvering, navigating & driving forklifts and light passenger trucks to move harvested crops from coolers to packing facilities • Inspecting equipment for errors and malfunctions • Move levers or controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklift, lift beams with swivel-hooks, hoists, or elevating platforms, to load, unload, • transport, or stack material. Detailed Work Activities • Clean vehicles or vehicle components. • Communicate with others to coordinate material handling or movement. • Inspect cargo areas for cleanliness or condition. • Install parts, assemblies, or attachments in transportation or material handling equipment. • Load shipments, belongings, or materials.
