Job Duties:

Field preparation including weeding, shoveling, hoeing, manually plant, cultivate, harvest, grade, pack fruit & vegetables. To include but, not limited to, strawberries, tomatoes, cucumbers, squash,& melons. Transplanting, irrigation,& pruning, stake & string trellis, cut/stack firewood. This requires prolonged bending, stooping, & reaching. Must be able to lift 50lbs. Workers must be very agile and fast w/hands. Assemble delivery cartons, load and unload delivery trucks. Responsible for repairs & maintenance of irrigation systems, daily cleaning of work areas. Must be able to work in extreme temp's ranging from 20*F-100*F. work varies daily depending on crops. All tools and supplies are provided by employer at no cost to worker. Strawberries-Hand plant, monitor progress, apply and removal of row covers as needed for frost protection. All other seasonal fruits, vegetables, & melons- Plant seeds, transplant, lay plastic mulch, & water lines for irrigation. Plant, harvest, packing throughout spring, into mid-summer.
