- Job Duties:
- Nursery Work - including but not limited to, building and maintaining agricultural structures, irrigation and run-off recycle labor, tagging in loading area for shipping, order pulling labor, truck loading, plant bunching, shotgun spacing, hauling plants, staking and tying trees and shrubs, plant stabilization, plant unloading labor, handfeeding labor, plant shifting labor, lath removal from greenhouses, construction of wooden shipping rack, plant rack spreading labor, preliminary installation of plant stakes, hand fertilization, installing shade cloth, setting up plants, winter blanket blanket/sandbag installation and removal, lathe removal from greenhouses, covering overwintering houses, side curtain installation, covering side doors, container shift planting, bareroot planting, bareroot field digging, weeding, liner direct planting, tree harvesting, pruning, planting and hoeing. Workers may be requested to submit to random drug or alcohol tests at no cost to the worker. Failure to comply with the request or testing positive may result in immediate termination. Drug testing and background checks may occur during the interview process and will be conducted at the sole expense and discretion of the employer. Use of personal cell phone or other personal electronic device during working hours strictly prohibited except for work-related calls or emergencies and violation may result in immediate termination.
