- Job Duties:
- Attend to live farm, ranch animals that include cattle; Duties include feeding, watering, herding, grazing, doctoring, worming, and loading animals; Mix feed, additives, and medicines in prescribed portions; Maintain records on animals; Examine animals to detect diseases and injuries; Drive livestock equipment such as rubber tire loader, skid steer, feed truck, and others to distribute feed to animals; Administer medications, vaccinations, shots, etc. as appropriate; Inspect, maintain, prepare, and repair livestock facilities, buildings, pens, yards, and fences; Move livestock from one location to another; Assist with live birth deliveries and weaning; Sort cattle to be shipped out.
