The Department of Labor recently announced new minimum wage rates, called Adverse Effect Wage Rates (AEWRs), that employers must offer and pay, at the time work is performed, to nonimmigrant H-2A workers and workers in corresponding employment beginning on the effective date of the new wage rates. Job Duties:
We operate a full-scale farming operation where we grow cotton, wheat, corn, grain sorghum and peanuts. We need a seasonal employee to assist in operating heavy farm equipment with GPS guidance systems to do field prep, plant, spray and harvest these crops as needed. Employee will be required to do routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and complete general farm duties as assigned. Employee will need to clean up and take care of facilities and equipment as needed. Employees will need to operate tractors and other equipment to swathe, rake and bale hay.
