Job Duties:
Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms, for sweeping, cleaning, and repairing grain bins, augers, and dryers; Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures as well as farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Monitor moisture levels using moisture sensors in the scale house; Turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive to market or storage facilities; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment.
